Almost 9 months ago…

I don’t even know how to begin or what to say.

All I know is that God has put this longing in my heart, and in the heart of my husband and my kids. It is inexplainable. But it is real. That there is someone out there that is part of our family and now we just need to bring them HOME.

Some of you know that we have been praying about adoption, some of you know that I am adopted. Most of you know the reality of us having 7 (yes 7) kids already, and that David is (gasp) 50 and that I am a (very YOUNG) 43. Okay and I should mention that we are retired from the military and David works at Starbucks and I stay home and play-I mean-take care of the kids…So what are we doing even thinking about this????

I really don’t have a clue! I just know that it isn’t just me. I dream of this child. Maddy dreams of this child. Ron put a brother on his Christmas list to Santa last year. Kiley went a step further and asked Santa for a baby brother this year….You should have seen his face! We talk about this child as a “when” not an “if”.

So how is this going to happen? I don’t know! When is this going to happen? I don’t know! Why am I sharing this with all of you? I really can’t answer that either, but you seem to listen well, have good insights and possible direction for me.

shared our heart….

worked on our homestudy…..

prayed…. wrestled, and sought God’s heart for our family….

(washed clothes, fed kids, blogged, hiked and all that stuff….)

prayed some more….

Last night I got an email that we have been matched with a baby boy….due Dec 22.

We are humbled and completely over the moon! (all at the same time!)

Pray for our birth mom and dad. Pray for sweet baby boy. Pray for us as we walk this walk….
