Catching up!

This week Ron, 5, lost his first tooth. It was soo cool, we were inside alone and he was wiggling and tried to get it out and couldn’t, so he let me. Out it popped! He was so excited and I loved sharing that moment with him! I wanted to grab the camera and get a picture-you know first tooth out, shining eyes etc. But, life happens and I put it off.

Well, the next thing you know it is 4 days later. This morning as we were all scurrying around getting ready for church, Ron comes down from brushing his teeth and shows us a big two-teeth-missing grin. “Look what happened while I was brushing my teeth!” he said. “Out it popped!” Oh, he is sooo cute, so here is my picture of Ron with two teeth out!

Chairs, chairs…..

Many of you have read my post on moving woes…and know that we gave away A LOT of stuff when we moved. Since then, I have been keeping my eyes open for some CHEAP furniture. I saw an ugly brown plaid chair on the side of the road the other day, and when David called to say he was on his way home fr

om work, I asked him to stop and see about it. He brought

it home for only 10 bucks!! So, here is my picture of my ugly brown chair….the kids think it is the coolest thing ever!

Yesterday Maddy and I went thrift store shopping and I found Archie Bunker’s chair! I got it for 35 bucks after talking the lady down (it wasn’t hard! I think she wanted to get rid of it!) When I sit in this chair, I want to yell at people! Seriously-it is very comfortfortable and even though it is ugly mustard baby-poop yellow, I think I am going to leave it that color and decorate around it. So, if any of you out there have fabric that will tie the ugly brown chair in with Archie’s chair, just let me know!

Finally, I was talking with a friend about making things and so here are some pictures of my skirt made with my jeans and David’s jeans and some cool fabric. I am going to keep adding things to them so I may bore you with pictures of them again!
