I am missing a vital part of me. Not physically, thank God, but it feels that way. I took my embroidery machine in for a very needed check up. I needed to three weeks ago, but I just couldn’t part with it. I NEED it. (Okay, after threatening for years to throw it in the lake, it is kind of funny to think I can’t do without it…) It is true, though, I really love making things that I design. I also like doing things that someone else designs! So, I guess while it is in the shop, I will do all of the things I have avoided while attached to my machine.
I did buy myself, with my birthday money, a brother sewing machine from Walmart. I wanted a backup machine, and just couldn’t bring myself to spend 500 or more for another machine. So far I am pleased. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that I am used to, but it sews a nice seam! That is what I needed it for…and the decorative stitches on it sew out nicely too.
Molly and I have been working on an outfit together using it. When we are done, I will post a picture!
